study in romans: the transformed mind - what happens next

Chs 12-13 is such a powerful Word showing something i just noticed: the link between your transformed mind and your behavior.
"be not confirmed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (2)"
This is the command - and where is Paul going with this?
"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (3).
And the discussion goes on to point out that the body of Christ while being unified, being one, yet has many members of that body and many gifts.

One lesson for me here - out of so many - is that the kind of harmony and connection I look for, and so many are needing will not come until we deal with this transformation process.  This change, this renewing of the mind must happen before we can enter into the kind of beautiful interpersonal relationships that are described - putting others first, deferring not out of phony humility - but because we have a desire for the encouragement and good of the other person, having a unity within our faith communities.  These relationships cannot be forced - they must flow from that transformed mind.
May we move further and further on this journey...
